Heideterrier Moritzburg | About Us
Torsten Trepte
Torsten, 44, learned hunting while still in the cradle. Grandfather and father were avid hunters with their own hunting grounds in the forests of Moritzburg. Torsten learned about hunting with dogs from scratch. And so it inevitably came to pass that he got his hunting license in 1990.
Up to now he has handled Weimaraners, German Shorthaired Pointers, German Longhaired Pointers, German Wirehaired Pointers and Coursehaired Dachshunds, and naturally also took them along on hunts. This included assignments on his own properties in Brandenburg and Saxony, as well as searches on neighboring properties and on those of fellow hunters.
In early 2013 Torsten stumbled upon the Heideterrier, and with great interest began to learn more about this unfamiliar breed of hunting dog.
In October 2013, Torsten acquired his first Heideterrier.
Doreen Klaus
Doreen, 37, grew up alongside her grandfather’s longhaired dachshunds and has been active in dog sports since she was 11. She handles German Shepherds, German Boxers, Malinois and Bull Terriers. She learned about hunting through a friend and often came along on driven hunts. It wasn’t long before she completed her “Green Diploma” hunting certification in 2010.
She handles a variety of breeds such as German Wirehaired Pointers, Hunting Terriers, Parson Russell Terriers, Wire-haired Dachshunds and, naturally, Heideterriers. The “vom alten Friedrich” Kennel for Wire-haired Dachshund is trademarked in her name since 2011.
